I blame Toy Story for the intense anxiety I feel every time I put an old toy in a box.

The Great E3 Fatigue: Four Reasons I'm Over Your Favorite Trade Show

My first published post over on LinkedIn how exhausting E3 is, and not because we need MORE games.

Packing Day 2 (we’re still only on the bookshelves)
Totally got distracted (sorry not sorry) while packing and started re-reading this series again. It’s still so cute and pretty!

There isn’t much going on in my life this summer besides PACKING! Oh god, so much packing.
For those of you who don’t know, packing is one of my least favorite things next to cleaning and going to the doctor. However, the thing about packing is if you don’t do it, you don’t get to bring your stuff to your new place and that usually poses as a problem. Unless you’re a dumpster diver.
Today’s goals were to clean off one bookshelf of all my comics/graphic novels, and to go through everything in my closet. After that, I was told that having a big box filled with books is actually a really bad idea because then the box is too heavy to move, and that I’m supposed to put all my books into tiny boxes….AUGH!
But, at least they’re off my shelf…right?
Yesterday was my bf’s graduation, and to celebrate we had a family dinner at The Boat House in Central Park!
The weather was perfect, and the food was way better than Tavern on the Green (which I think they’re reopening soon?). Holy view, Batman!
There was also a really nice bar on the other end of the restaurant where super important looking people drank Martinis and talked about stocks…at least that’s what it sounded like to me!

Checked out MoCCA Fest again this year and had an awesome time! It was great seeing some old friends as well as chatting some indie-creators. My favorite by far were the peeps behind the book The Cute Girl NetworkMK Reed, G. Means, and Joe Flood, from First Second Books. It’s a super cute GN and totally worth a read - check it out! Bigger this year due to the push from the Society of Illustrators, the show had a bunch of booths as well as an amazing gallery of comic strips featuring 1970s Dracula strips to New Yorker covers.  Also, there was a giant Charlie Brown balloon that threatened to crush everyone who attended.

All and all it was another amazing year - for those who aren’t into the packed madness of the convention scene, MoCCA is always a great place to just go and meet artists and hang out with cool people and pick up some great books.
